recalledtolife-:

this is pretty powerful to me, mostly because I grew up in a Christian school where it felt to me you had to fit a certain mold to feel like you mattered there. I even was apart of the youth group for a few years and joined the church choir at the church that was affiliated with the school. I quit youth group freshman year and joining the choir was my last effort to identify with these people. I quit that after 4 months. It was clear to me that I wasn’t ever going to fit in with those people, even after openly trying to participate in the same activities. For “Christians” , the people there never welcomed me in even when I was a ‘regular.’  It wasn’t even my parents forcing me to to all this, we rarely ever went to church in my family, it was literally just me looking for friends. That whole ordeal made me have such an aversion to church and church activities. I am a Christian, and I know that without a doubt, but church can definitely be an evil thing.

I’m not saying CRPC or WA is evil, its just upsetting to me how even though I was a Christian I wasn’t accepted. I couldn’t imagine how it would’ve felt to not be a ‘religious’ person and be thrust into that environment.
